David Muir was born in the US and is an American journalist. His ABC News show World News Tonight, with David Muir has been a success for many years. In addition to that it is his co-anchorship of ABC News magazine 20/20. His show with its dramatic clips of celebrity gossip on video as well as his witty gestures have become the most watched broadcast in America. Also, he is known for his Emmy-nominated show Made In America. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for his previous anchor Diane Sawyer. He was the anchor for numerous primetime specials for ABC News some recent ones including Breaking Point: Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He's been all over the world reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has received a variety of Emmy Awards Edward R.
